Where to begin-

Much has happened since I last posted.  God has provided me with a new job position next year, we have moved out of our townhouse, and are on a adventure waiting to see where God is taking us.  As of right now I have a part-time position teaching, but I have been blessed with a peace that everything will work out. Weither it is a teaching position or some other type of work, I know that God will provide.

This doesn’t mean life is always easy.  I have really had to learn to not only rely on God, but be willing to give up my worries to him.  This takes such burden off of me, and really is a gift that He provides for us.  And since he knows what will be best, I need to let him take full control.  That doesn’t mean it’s always an easy choice to do.

As I close this post, I am typing from the family room of a beautiful villa in St. Lucia.  I’ve been blessed to be on vacation with my wife and dear friends Scott and Kara Wessman.  Even when things can seem negative, it is important to take a step back and realize all that we are blessed with.  For me that includes stuff, but more importantly, friends & family.  It is great to be able to have friends such as the Wessman’s who we can have such fun with and share our faith with.  I feel called to challenge anyone who is reading this to pause and reflect on in what ways God has blessed you and to thank him for that.  God is good!

Keep jogging!

Spring is…here?

Well, here in Minnesota the weather has gone from snowy and cold, to SUNNY AND BEAUTIFUL…and then back to where we came from.  What’s going on around here?

Even though it is frustrating, I’ve been able to squeeze in several runs outside with elliptical workouts mixed in due to the weather.

I cling to the fact that it isn’t the weather that matters here on earth, but our relationship with God.  The Bible tells us “Greater is he who is in me then he who is in the world” and I think this applies to all areas… including weather!

Just because things may not be going exactly as you hoped and times seem tough, remember that God loves you and you can have salvation through him.  He is where our joy comes from.

Hello to all (however many few that may be :) -

Even though I joke about that, it had been on my mind lately about how many people are really reading this site.  It was at that moment that I was reminded this site isn’t about me, it is about HIM.

God should be the reason for everything that we do.  Our ultimate goal should be to bring glory to him.

My prayer today is that you would be having a relationship with God that would be like that.  It wouldn’t just be going through the motions, saying your a Christian, but then leaving it at that.  I hope that if you are a believer, people would be able to look at you and the way you live your life and know that you do have a love relationship with God.  If you claim to have a relationship with God, that is my challenge to you.  It is the challenge for myself.  Don’t just say it, do it.

If you don’t have a relationship with God, please read the “About” section of this site, and follow that or any other simple steps to having a relationship with him.  You’ll truly never be the same.

As far as my jogging (not nearly as important) living in Minnesota has pushed my efforts inside.  So for that last while and the near future the treadmill and a mix of P90X DVD workouts, will be my friend.  My goal though shouldn’t be the activity itself, but again that I am able to honor God by working hard for his glory.

Again too, if you are interested in promoting this site, I will be ordering T-shirts that you can workout in that will have a verse on it, as well as jesusjogger.com on the shirt.  Please email me at jesusjogger@gmail.com by February 10th if you are interested along with you size, color (blue or purple), and mailing address.

End of December

Hello all-

It is great to hear from so many people that are checking out this website.  As I mentioned previously, when I got help setting it up, I didn’t realize it would be a blog, so writing frequent posts wasn’t expected.  I have come to understand that just like the rest of this site, I guess God had a surprise for me.  I will attempt to post more frequently, although the point of this site really isn’t about me.

Just like Christmas, this site really is about my lord and savior, Jesus Christ.  Some two thousand and odd years ago Jesus was born as part of the greatest story every lived out.  As I’ve been with my family, enjoying their company, eating good food, and opening presents, it has been refreshing to remember to keep it in prespective, that this really has been all about Him and not the stuff.

I had been sick for a couple days so wasn’t able to exercise for almost a week.  I figured all the time I spent by the porcelain throne and not eating much made up for it :)   It was great to get out and go for a 4 mile run the other day.  We’ve had some wonderful weather and I got some wonderful running attire for Christmas that I was able to use.  Hopefully you have been able to get out and exercise, enjoy the weather, and give God glory.

If you have seen in the pictures or from friends of yours, I have made shirts previously that promote this website as an outreach to let people know about salvation in Christ.  Probably at the end of January I will place another order, which will probably be a different type of shirt to see what a different type looks like.  If YOU ARE INTERESTED in a JESUSJOGGER.COM t-shirt, please email me at jesusjogger@gmail.com with your contact information, if you want shirts for a male or female, and sizes.  I truly believe that this site was started because God prompted me to do it and know that he will work through it and therefore if you want to donate money for the shirt you order, that’s great, but I am willing to pay for shirts for people who would be interested in one if they don’t have the money or don’t want to have to pay for one.

Hello and welcome to JesusJogger.com.  If you are coming to this website, you probably have seen someone running around wearing some type of clothing wearing the website on it.  We are glad you are here.

Now that you are here, I hope you will take a minute and think about your personal relationship with God.  He loves you, He cares for you, and He wants a personal relationship with you.

Many people say they believe in God.  The Bible tells us that Satan and the demons believe in God.  He wants more then that.  He wants you to know Him personally.  He wants you to turn your life over to Him and let Him control it.

Most importantly, He wants you to have eternity in Heaven with Him.  Without accepting His gift of salvation, this isn’t possible.  It doesn’t take much.  Just the willingness to confess that you are a sinner, can’t live this life without Him, and to genuninely turn your life over to Him and invite Him into it.

It just takes a simple prayer that could be something such as: Lord, I confess to you that I’m a sinner and I’m tired of living this life on my own.  Please forgive me of my sins.  I want You to come into my life and be in control.  I want a relationship and salvation in Heaven with you God.  Thank you that you love me.  Amen.

If you prayed that prayer or something like it for the first time, or are interested in more information about God, please let us know.  You can contact me at jesusjogger@gmail.com
